Only a few weeks ago, this pup had no one to call his own in the world.

Snoop the Staffordshire was mercilessly dumped on the streets of England by his owner with only his dog bed. But things started to turn for the better when a video of him captured by a surveillance camera which showed him desperately chasing his owner’s car went viral.

Now, people all over the world are flocking to offer their homes for this adorable loyal pup. This also includes California-raised rapper, Snoop Dogg.

After seeing the sad footage of Snoop being left on the street just a few days before Christmas, the “California Girls” rapper couldn’t control his emotions. He was truly touched by the dog’s devotion and heartbreak after his owner abandoned him. He immediately wanted to bring him home and give him all the love he deserved.

Both of them share the same name. It was truly a match made in heaven!

“It is heartbreaking,” Snoop Dogg told The Daily Star of the video. “If he really needed a home then he has one with us… There is always room for another dog in Casa de Snoop.”

After Snoop’s rescue story touched millions, the RSPCA, which is currently caring for the dog, received countless inquiries from people about adopting him. Now, the rescue team is work hard preparing him for the big day when he’ll be taken to his new home.

“We have been overwhelmed by the hundreds of supportive messages for Snoop and all the people who have offered to give him a home, including some well-known faces such as rapper Snoop Dogg,” Rachel Butler, RSPCA media manager, told The Dodo. “We are so grateful to all the millions of people who have shared Snoop’s story across the world.”

The RSPCA is still investigating Snoop’s former owner who carelessly abandoned him on the streets. They will still need to complete a full health and behaviour assessment before he can be sent to a new home. This will help the group decide what type of home would be appropriate for Snoop the dog.

“Snoop is such a loveable character and enjoys being around people and gets on well with other dogs,” Butler added. “He just loves getting close to people, sitting between their legs and having cuddles, and is certainly enjoying lots of love and affection from our staff.”

Snoop is clearly loving all the attention and love he’s getting- however, it’s certain whoever adopts him, will get all the love, and devotion from Snoop the Dog.
