Along the shores of Jennings Pond off of Bonter Road in West Milford, New Jersey, a submerged cage was found with a 10 week Golden Retriever puppy inside it.

A non-profit organization known as The Last Resort, retrieved the ‘ice-cold, soaked’ puppy from the lake.

The puppy’s training pads were stuck to the side of the puppy’s with a bit of blood on them. With weights attached to it, the crate also had a crystal vase with a price tag of $22 on it.
Right now, the authorities have named the puppy Jenny and are still looking for the culprit.

The initial cause of death is determined to be drowning. However, an official autopsy is yet to be done. The terrible news is that there haven’t been any leads or suspects in this horrible case.

Animal lovers have been torn apart by this story. Since this story first went viral, The Last Resort Rescue has raised over $8500 as a reward for anyone with any information on this case. Hopefully, someone will come forward and bring the culprit to justice.
