If you are a dog lover, you know that their lifespan is simply unfair for them. They give away so much love, and, with respect to that, they should live a long life. However, they only live for 11 to 15 years on average. Maggie, the Australian Kelpie, however, begs to differ.
Maggie lived a very happy life on a dairy farm with her family in Australia. Her dad, Brian McLaren, claims to have lost the documentation of her actual birth. However, she lived to be 30-years old, which is a year more than the oldest living dog who demised in 1939.
The cheerful dog accompanied her humans and was loyal to them until the end. Her dad said in an interview, “She was 30 years old, she was still going along nicely last week, she was walking from the dairy to the office and growling at the cats and all that sort of thing.”
“She just went downhill in two days and I said yesterday morning when I went home for lunch…’ She hasn’t got long now,’” he added.
According to the report of The Weekly Times, Maggie passed away peacefully.
McLaren said, “I’m sad, but I’m pleased she went the way she went.”
We hope your soul rests in peace, Maggie!
