This Gorgeous “Exotic Bird” got rescued by a concerned passerby in public. They quickly took him to a veterinary hospital for further treatment and inspection. After a thorough examination, they found out; it was just a seagull covered in curry.
By this time, we all are used to seeing birds covered in food. Some, love to soak their body in chips while others prefer sweet ice-creams. But this messy seagull went into the next level, covering the entire body in curry. And he somehow managed to put his identity in disguise.
A puzzled passerby had an idea to rescue this exotic looking birdy when he was found at the side of the A41. His orange feathers made him look heavenly, which may have resulted in the misunderstanding.
Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital in Haddenham, Buckinghamshire got an unexpected call with a surprising description of the bird. They were confused and excited at the same time.
Their mind was running through all kinds of thoughts until the actual bird arrived. But the bird looked better than they imagined.
The hospital wrote:
“This is one of the strangest casualty circumstances we have seen in a while!
This bright-orange herring gull was rescued by kind members of the public who spotted him at the side of the A41.”
The hospital further explained that the hungry seagull might have covered his body in curry or just turmeric.
The body coat restricted him to fly properly. This might be the reason why he was on the ground. The heroes who bought him to the hospital certainly rescued him. Had they not done so, the seagull might have experienced a slow death with hunger and fear.
The staffs of the hospital named this beautiful seagull after a vindaloo curry. They call him Vinny now.
“We have no idea how he got into this predicament, but thankfully, apart from the vibrant color and pungent smell, he was healthy.
Our veterinary team bravely bathed the gull to clean off his feathers. He managed to cover them in curry water but eventually did let us scrub him clean.
He is now looking much better and should be able to go for release very soon! As we say, we never know what will come through our doors next!
Huge thanks to the lovely finders who stopped to rescue him.”
Thankfully, the seagull managed to make his orange appearance go after the wash. Now, the normal-looking seagull can stretch her wings and fly wherever she wants to.
The audience has a hilarious comment on the wash:
“What I am dying to know, is what cleaning product gets TUMERIC out of ANYTHING.”
This bird was reportedly covered in chicken tikka masala. He was taken to Vale wildlife hospital, near Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire according to The Guardian. The bird was washed up and groomed after his healthy feathers.
We still don’t know how Vinny managed to cover himself on the yummy, puddle of curry. But, thankfully, he is out of it. And we hope he wouldn’t be attracted to any future bowl of curry again.
